Pakistan’s IT Exports Increased by 4.45

The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics has released its most recent data for the initial four months of the ongoing fiscal year. The data shows that the country’s exports in the field of information technology (IT) experienced a growth rate of 4.45% when compared to the corresponding months of the previous fiscal year. IT Support:

From July through October 2023, the export of computer services climbed by 4.81%, rising from US $688.078 million to US $721.162 million in the first four months of the current fiscal year.

The exports of software consultancy services experienced a remarkable growth of 93.76 percent, increasing from US $1.009 million to US $1.955 million this year. In contrast, the export of hardware consultancy services experienced a 1.13% growth, rising from US $253.543 million to US $256.408 million.

In addition, the export of repair and maintenance services experienced a growth rate of 3.16%, up from US $0.443 million to US $0.457 million. Similarly, the export of computer software services witnessed a 4.01% gain, rising from $190.228 million to $197.862 million.

Communication services are provided through electronic means.

The export of telecommunication services experienced a 4.45% growth, rising from US $165.45 million to US $170.770 million.

The export of call center services in the telecommunication industry experienced a growth rate of 8.84% during the specified period, with exports increasing from US $69.641 million to US $75.800 million. Conversely, the export of other telecommunications services experienced a marginal decrease of 0.88 percent, falling from US $95.809 million to US $94.790 million, as reported by PBS statistics.

Information Services:

The export of information services during that time decreased by 25.18%, going from US $1.390 million to US $1.040 million.

The exports of information-related services had a significant growth of 21.04%, rising from US $0.366 million to US $0.443 million. Conversely, the exports of news agency services experienced a notable decline of 41.70%, dropping from US $1.024 million to US $0.597 million.
